{"id":68178,"date":"2025-07-31T12:23:01","date_gmt":"2025-07-31T12:23:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.calpeda.com\/2025\/07\/31\/centrifugal-pumps-family-is-expanding-with-new-models\/"},"modified":"2025-07-31T12:23:40","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T12:23:40","slug":"centrifugal-pumps-family-is-expanding-with-new-models","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.calpeda.com\/au\/2025\/07\/31\/centrifugal-pumps-family-is-expanding-with-new-models\/","title":{"rendered":"Centrifugal pumps: family is expanding with new models"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NM-series normalized <a href=\"https:\/\/www.calpeda.com\/au\/gamma\/single-and-twin-impeller-centrifugal-pumps\/\"><strong>centrifugal pumps <\/strong><\/a>not only have a special place in Calpeda&#8217;s history, but are also the perfect expression of the company&#8217;s DNA because of their reliability and customizability.<\/p>\n<p><strong>These flanged centrifugal electric pumps, made with main dimensions and performance according to EN 733, cover many industrial and civil applications.<\/strong> <strong>They are suitable for the operation of heating, air conditioning, cooling and circulation systems, but are also ideal for irrigation systems.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>These pumps are designed and manufactured to ensure a long service life, even when operating under severe conditions.<\/strong> <strong>This is thanks to the research that has always supported product development and the very high quality of each component.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Our range of normalized centrifugal pumps includes several series, each consisting of models of different sizes to cover specific market needs. <\/strong>In addition to this Calpeda can also provide customization with particularly fast delivery times.\u00a0 Special executions include, for example, the realization of the stainless steel impeller, which we discussed in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.calpeda.com\/au\/?p=54586\">recent article<\/a>, ideal for industrial applications where high resistance is required.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>NMS centrifugal pump family grows\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Along with the NM series of close coupled centrifugal pumps, Calpeda also produces the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.calpeda.com\/au\/product\/nm-nms\/\">NMS series<\/a>, centrifugal electric pumps in stub shaft construction.<\/strong> <strong>It is precisely to this type of product that the latest upgrade of the range has been dedicated.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With the aim of responding effectively to market demands, it was decided to make a significant expansion of the series toward smaller powers than those already available.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To give an idea of the significance of this expansion, just think that the NMS series has increased from 200 to 630 items.<\/strong> <strong>All sizes of the corresponding one-piece 2 and 4-pole, 50 and 60HZ versions from DN 32 to DN 150 are now available.<\/strong> <strong>In this way Calpeda is currently able to offer with its NMS a complete range of applications, ranging from large industrial plants to smaller ones.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>The strengths of our centrifugal stub shaft pumps\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Being normalized pumps, NMS have pump casing with axial suction and radial delivery on top, main dimensions and performance according to EN 733.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the <strong>stub shaft<\/strong> construction<strong>, it is important to note that it is designed to ensure the widest freedom of motor choice.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NMS pumps, in fact, can be coupled with <strong>standard IE3 motors<\/strong>, with<strong> special IE4<\/strong> <strong>motors<\/strong>, and with <strong>motors that comply with the American and Canadian UL-CSA standards<\/strong>. The customer can therefore count on a very versatile product, both in terms of efficiency classes and compatibility with international standards.<\/p>\n<p>A distinguishing feature of <strong>NMS centrifugal pumps<\/strong>, compared with other stub-shaft construction pumps on the market, is the <strong>integrated thrust bearing<\/strong>. This design feature makes the pump perfectly balanced as to axial thrust.<\/p>\n<p>The customer is thus facilitated because no additional dimensioning is required to calculate the surcharge to be applied to the motor bearing and ensure optimal product operation.
