Wateralia strengthens its presence in Australia with the acquisition of Aquatec
Wateralia, a global player in the design, engineering and manufacture of pumps for the integrated water cycle, operating through the Calpeda and Caprari Groups, is pleased to announce the completion of the acquisition of Aquatec, an Australian company and a leader in the design and delivery of solutions for water management and treatment.
Headquartered in Shepparton (Victoria, Australia), Aquatec designs and delivers solutions for the management of clean and wastewater. Its offering includes pumping stations, treatment technologies, water reuse and supply solutions, as well as odour control systems.
Thanks to its ability to provide complete, tailor-made solutions, Aquatec has experienced rapid growth in Australia and New Zealand, supporting its customers throughout the entire project lifecycle, from design and engineering to manufacturing, installation and commissioning. Today, Aquatec is recognised as a trusted partner by its customers, based on strong engineering and design capabilities, high quality standards and a customer-focused approach.
The acquisition of Aquatec strengthens Wateralia’s presence in the Australian water market and enables the Group to integrate and further expand its engineering and system integration capabilities, introducing a business model that can be replicated in other system- and solution-oriented markets.
Following completion of the transaction, the Wateralia Group reaches revenues of approximately €400 million, generated in more than 140 countries, with over 1,200 employees, 6 manufacturing plants and 26 international subsidiaries.
