A technical committee with the aim of following developments in standards and European directives has been created in Assopompe.
The goal of the committee is to try and reduce the load that weighs on each individual company, and for Europump and the appropriate headquarters to support the needs of Italian pump producers as one.
References for each subject were selected to form part of this committee and Calpeda, represented by its engineers Andrè Kistner and Michele Dai Prè will be involved in three areas:
• LOT 29 ecodesign for pumps for swimming pools, aquariums and other water pumps;
• LOT 30 regulation 640/2009 regarding electric motors;
• Extended product approach (EPA), which considers the whole pumping system.
The committee was set up on November 21st and the first meetings will be organised for the beginning of 2014.
