Ken Hall, Managing Director of Calpeda UK, in his capacity of Europump Energy Councillor, was one of the speakers at the recent Europump Ecodesign Roundtable held on Thursday 6th October in Brussels. The idea of the event was to bring together people from the Pump Industry, along with industry Suppliers, Users, and Consultants plus NGO’s and representatives of the European Commission. The aim of the roundtable was to explore common Ecodesign policies. The meeting was attended by Mr Wilhelmus de Wilt, Policy Officer, Energy Directorate General of the European Commission who is specifically responsible for matters relating to the pump sector. The meeting covered all the aspects of the current Energy Related Products (ErP) Directive and the concept of energy savings from pumping system design and audit.
