The history of Calpeda Iberica starts in November of 2004 in Cerdanyola del Vallès, a small city near Barcelona. Calpeda Iberica was founded in the last phase of the golden period of the Spanish economy. Unfortunately, the crisis began a pair of years after and interrupted the initial plans of the subsidiary. Today the situation is clearly improving and the sales are recovering and growing again.

This growth is based on three basic pillars: the quality of the division’s service, the delivery efficiency and the quality of Calpeda’s products. These aspects strengthen and maintain the confidence of the customers towards Calpeda Iberica and bring the division to a winning position inside the Spanish market.

Calpeda Iberica has seven locations on the territory to be closer to the customers: • Galicia (North-west); • Madrid (Center); • Catalunya (East); • Levante (Mediterranean area); • Balearic Islands; • Andalucia (South); •  Aragon and Basque Country.

Mercedes Lainz – Subsidiary’s General Manager

Mercedes leads the Spanish subsidiary of Calpeda. He decides the present and future strategies of the company.

David Pla – Commercial Director

David manages the sales and the daily activities of the salesmen throughout the country. He is responsible of the commercial department and of the general sales budget.

Miriam Luque – Office Controller

Miriam attends to all the internal procedures of the subsidiary to achieve daily success and leads the internal team that works on offers and administrative tasks. The team consists in Oscar Abeleira (offers), Erika Gil (purchasing dept.) and Montse Rosique (invoicing).

Lidia Castillo – Financial Director

The numbers in Calpeda Iberica depend on Lidia. She guarantees the financial health of the subsidiary  in reference to banks, etc… and helps the subsidiary achieve the goals of the company

Enrique Sanchez – Foreman of the workshop

Booster sets and fire fighting sets have no secrets for Enrique. He is responsible of the manufacturing of all the sets made in Calpeda Iberica that are perfectly aligned to Spanish regulations. Antonio, Alfonso, Jesús, Raúl and Carlos help Enrique and take part in all the procedures that shorten delivery time.
