Every year on 27th February, Calpeda celebrates a Mass in memory of its founder Vinicio Mettifogo. For this occasion retired former employees come back to the company, they meet with colleagues with whom they spent many working years, look in wonder at the latest technology of the new plants and they linger with nostalgia in front of the machine they used for many years.
This year, for example, around the parallel lathe in the tooling department, there were an amazing five generations. The first turner was Giovanni Cozza who worked there from December 1966 until his retirement in September 1979; then Giovanni Magnaguagno, Bruno Schiavo, Osvaldo Nizzero arrived immediately afterwards and finally Elido Dalla Pozza who presently works there on this lathe.
