Calpeda UK Engineer, Sam Hinks, is a junior powerlifter and a member of the UK based Five Towns Powerlifting club. Sam who competes in the under 93 Kg class was introduced to the world of powerlifting in 2015 and it has only taken him a year to compete on a world stage representing the United Kingdom. Sam recently competed in the World Bench Press Championships in South Africa where he won the silver medal matching the top lift weight but only just missing out on gold through bodyweight.
Sam is now officially placed 2nd in the world!
